Engagement and communication
For hospital sites there are groups of people that may require different levels of communication and detail on what the changes are and how they interact with them.
Broaden engagement and messaging on recycling to staff, contractors, patients, and visitors by:
Labelling all bins clearly with the nationally recognised Wales Recycles icons (wrapcymru.org.uk) so people know what can and cannot be recycled. Many local authorities use the same icons which your staff, patients and visitors may be familiar with from their household recycling.
Ensure all information and bin labels use consistent colours and iconography across the entire site to avoid confusion.
For large premises you could consider providing maps on site to identify recycling points as well as what can be recycled at each location.
Put up posters around the site and on your intranet with recycling messages and information.
